Making a watch that can withstand the pressure of up to 1,000 meters (3,000 feet) below sea level is no easy task. Every cetntimeter of the entire watch must be re-thought and re-engineered. The case must have super strength, the crystal must be able to withstand enormous pressure with cracking. The seals must be reinforced and of the finest quality. And the watch itself must be able to preform under the most extreme conditions.

Citizen Watch Company, the world leader in Professional Dive Watches, has done all this and much more in creating their 1,000 meter dive monster! The case is solid titanium. The crystal is sapphire glass and is 6 millimeters thick!! And the movment is a fine self-winding automatic jeweled mechanical movement with no batteries to replace.

The titanium case itself has a unidirectional elaspe time bezel and the bezel is detachable for thorough cleaning. The watch also has a helium escape valve for ascension from great depths. The setting crown has been re-engineered to the 9 oclock position to allow full wrist movement. Finally the watch has a special separate strap extender for use over heavy dive suits. All of this comes packaged in an especially designed, padded, travel case, shown to the right.>
