Designed for busy executives and world travelers, the watch has a remarkable internal rotating bezel that allows the easy computation of a second time zone. In fact one model, the 26B67 shown of the right, actually has a second watch built in to the dial (at the 6 o'clock position), so you can track three separate time zones!
The other two models, the 26B66 and 26B65, have a built in chronograph (stopwatch) with three subdials measuring 1/10th of a second, seconds, and minutes. They still have the internal rotating bezel for dual time or other time tracking functions.
The styling of the new Excursion Series is as good looking as it is functional. Perfect for the board room or formal dress functions, it's still tough and durable enough for big game hunting safaris or deep sea fishing excursions. This watch is perfect no matter where in the world you might travel.
The watch is crafted entirely from surgical grade stainless steel and has a virtually scratchproof sapphire crystal. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet) below sea level.
Accutron by Bulova revolutionized the entire world of watchmaking with the introduction of the tuning fork oscillator watch that was guaranteed accurate to within 2 seconds a day, or 1 minute a month. In 1962 The Accutron 214 became the first wristwatch certified for use by railroad personnel and by 1967 only Accutron clocks were used aboard Air Force One. NASA asked Bulova to incorporate Accutron technology into its space program equipment, and so it was used in panel clocks and instrument timers. In fact, an Accutron watch movement sits on the moon's Sea of Tranquility today, placed there in 1969 by the Apollo 11 astronauts.
