Mechanical watch movements have long been preferred by serious divers because there are no batteries to replace. This type of watch has an oscillating wheel that winds the mainspring with each movement of the wrist. What Accutron has done is to perfect this watch style with absolutely no compromises in design or quality.
The Accutron VX-200 is a classic 3 hand date selfwinding Swiss watch. The model #28B83, with a black dial and a red and black unidirectional dive bezel is shown on the right. This watch features a 25 jewel Automatic (selfwinding) movement. Prized by both collectors and watchmakers, these movements are the standard by which all mechanical watches are measured.
Accutron then designed the finest 316L grade Surgical Stainless Steel Dive Watch cases and equipped them with water resistant technologies to assure dive rated water tightness of up to 200 meters, of 660 feet below sea level. The watches feature a Unidirectional rotation elapse time bezel and luminous hands and dial markers.
The bracelets are also stainless steel with dive wet suit extenders built in. The ultra flexible three dimensional bracelets are both handsome and very comfortable. And they have fold over locking security clasps.
Of course the watch has both a virtually scratch proof Sapphire Crystal, but is also has a Sapphire Exhibition Back Crystal so you can view the beautiful Valjoux 25 jewel Automatic Movement at work!
